These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Built Right Spaces website and your interactions with our home renovation and related services. By browsing this website, submitting an inquiry, requesting a consultation, or proceeding with a project, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms. The information displayed on this website is intended to help you understand our services and prepare for a potential project. Specific project obligations, pricing, schedules, and responsibilities are established through the written agreement applicable to your individual project.
Using Our Website
You may use the Built Right Spaces website for lawful purposes and to learn about our renovation services, request information, or begin a conversation regarding your property needs. You agree not to interfere with the operation of the website, attempt to gain unauthorized access to restricted areas, introduce malicious code, or submit information that is intentionally false or misleading. Website content may be revised, removed, or updated as our services, materials, availability, and business practices change. While we make reasonable efforts to keep information current, website descriptions should not be treated as a substitute for a project-specific assessment or written agreement.
Consultations and Project Assessments
Initial conversations, consultations, measurements, photographs, design discussions, and property assessments are intended to help determine whether a requested project is suitable and how it may be approached. Information discussed during an initial consultation does not automatically constitute a binding promise to perform particular work. Final recommendations may change after additional measurements, inspections, access to concealed areas, review of existing conditions, or confirmation of material selections. Any significant project commitments will be documented separately before work begins.
Scope of Work
Each renovation project is based on an agreed scope describing the services, materials, areas of work, and other applicable requirements. Work outside the documented scope is not automatically included simply because it appears related to the original project. If additional work becomes appropriate, the parties may document the requested change, associated costs, and any impact on the expected schedule before that work proceeds. This process helps ensure that both Built Right Spaces and the client have a shared understanding of what is included.
Estimates and Pricing
Estimates and preliminary pricing are prepared using the information available at the time they are created. Actual project costs may be affected by final measurements, selected finishes, product availability, labor requirements, site conditions, disposal requirements, permit-related needs, or other circumstances discovered during planning. A written project agreement or approved proposal will establish the applicable pricing for the agreed scope. Optional upgrades, client-requested changes, additional services, and work arising from previously unknown conditions may involve additional charges when documented and accepted.
Client Responsibilities
Clients are expected to provide accurate information about the property and communicate relevant circumstances that may affect the project. This may include known structural concerns, previous repairs, water intrusion, electrical issues, access limitations, property restrictions, or other conditions that could influence planning. Clients should also provide reasonable access to the designated work areas and make timely decisions regarding materials, finishes, colors, fixtures, layouts, and other selections when those decisions are required to keep the project moving.
Property Access and Work Areas
Renovation activities may require access to rooms, exterior areas, utility locations, storage spaces, or other portions of the property identified in the project plan. Clients should remove fragile, valuable, or personally important belongings from active work areas before work begins. Reasonable precautions may be taken to protect surfaces and organize the work environment, but ordinary renovation activity can create noise, dust, vibration, temporary access restrictions, and other inconveniences. Household members, visitors, and pets should remain away from active work areas whenever necessary for safety.
Materials and Product Selections
Project materials, fixtures, appliances, finishes, and other products are subject to availability and may occasionally become discontinued, delayed, or unavailable. Where an agreed product cannot reasonably be obtained, Built Right Spaces may discuss suitable alternatives with the client before substitution. Client-selected products should meet the dimensions, performance requirements, and installation conditions necessary for the project. Changes to selections after ordering may result in restocking charges, price differences, additional labor, or schedule adjustments where applicable.
Scheduling and Delays
Project schedules are prepared according to expected labor requirements, material availability, site readiness, inspections, deliveries, and coordination with other activities. Renovation timelines can change because of circumstances such as delayed materials, unexpected property conditions, weather affecting exterior work, permit or inspection timing, supplier interruptions, or changes requested by the client. When a material change to the expected schedule becomes known, reasonable communication will be provided so the project plan can be adjusted. A target completion date should not be interpreted as an unconditional guarantee unless expressly stated otherwise in the written project agreement.
Changes and Additional Work
Clients may request adjustments to layouts, finishes, materials, fixtures, colors, or other project details. Requested changes may affect both cost and completion timing. Whenever practical, changes will be described in writing before the related work is performed. Additional work may also become necessary when concealed or previously unknown conditions are discovered after demolition or access to areas that were not visible during the initial assessment. Built Right Spaces will communicate the nature of such conditions and discuss available options before proceeding with material additional work, subject to urgent circumstances where immediate action is reasonably necessary to protect people or property.
Payments and Project Administration
Payment requirements, deposits, milestone amounts, invoicing procedures, and final balances are determined by the written agreement for each project. Clients are responsible for making payments according to the agreed schedule. Outstanding balances may affect the timing of subsequent project activities, material ordering, scheduling, or completion of remaining work. Any disputed invoice or payment concern should be raised promptly so the relevant details can be reviewed and addressed without unnecessary disruption to the project.
Completion and Workmanship
At or near completion, the parties may review the finished work and identify reasonable outstanding items or agreed corrections. Workmanship coverage, if provided, will be governed by the terms, duration, exclusions, and procedures stated in the applicable project agreement or warranty documentation. Manufacturer warranties for products, appliances, fixtures, or equipment are generally governed by the respective manufacturer's terms. Warranty coverage may exclude damage caused by misuse, unauthorized modifications, ordinary wear, improper maintenance, accidents, or work performed by others, depending on the applicable warranty.
Safety and Existing Conditions
Renovation work can involve tools, construction materials, temporary openings, electrical systems, plumbing, ladders, dust, debris, and other hazards. Clients agree to follow reasonable site-access instructions and keep household members and pets away from restricted areas. Existing conditions that were concealed or could not reasonably be identified during initial planning may require additional investigation or corrective work. Where specialized professionals, inspections, engineering, permitting, or other independent services are appropriate, those requirements may be addressed separately as part of the project process.
Third-Party Services
Certain projects may involve independent suppliers, manufacturers, designers, inspectors, architects, engineers, specialty trades, delivery companies, or other third parties. Their services may be governed by separate terms and responsibilities. Built Right Spaces may coordinate with such parties when their involvement is necessary for the requested project, but third-party products and services remain subject to their own applicable agreements, warranties, schedules, and limitations.
Cancellations and Project Pauses
If you need to cancel, postpone, or pause a project, please communicate the request as early as possible. The financial and scheduling consequences of a cancellation or pause may depend on the project's current stage, materials already purchased or ordered, labor already performed, reserved scheduling capacity, and the terms of the written agreement. Any applicable refund, credit, cancellation charge, or outstanding amount will be handled according to the project-specific terms rather than solely by the general website information.
Intellectual Property and Website Content
Text, graphics, photographs, logos, layouts, branding elements, and other original materials displayed on the Built Right Spaces website may belong to Built Right Spaces or its respective content providers. You may view the website for personal and legitimate purposes, but you should not reproduce, modify, distribute, publish, or commercially reuse protected website materials without appropriate permission. Project-specific drawings, concepts, specifications, photographs, or other materials may also be subject to separate ownership or usage terms established during the project.
Limitation of Responsibility
Renovation projects involve variables that cannot always be predicted before work begins. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Built Right Spaces is not responsible for losses resulting solely from circumstances beyond reasonable control, inaccurate information supplied by a client, concealed property conditions, third-party failures, material discontinuations, or client-requested changes. Nothing in these terms is intended to remove rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Updates to These Terms
Built Right Spaces may revise these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in website functionality, service practices, operational procedures, or applicable requirements. The updated version will be made available through the website when changes are made. For an active renovation project, the signed project agreement and other written project documents will continue to govern project-specific matters where they contain terms that differ from general website conditions.
If you have questions about these Terms & Conditions, project responsibilities, estimates, scheduling, warranties, or any other matter described here, please contact Built Right Spaces before proceeding. We encourage clients to ask questions early so expectations, responsibilities, and project requirements are clearly understood by everyone involved.
